All Stars Cricket is coming to Alton CC

All Stars CricketAlton Cricket Club are delighted to announce that we will be one of the inaugural All Stars Cricket Centres accredited by the ECB.

All Stars Cricket is a brand new initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket. The programme is being delivered across England and Wales at over 1,500 fully accredited All Stars Cricket centres. It is a fun and active way to develop children’s skills, and through our eight-week programme they will learn lots – as well as make new friends – in a safe and inclusive environment.

All Stars Cricket gives girls and boys from the ages of five to eight an opportunity to become a star. The curriculum of fun cricket activities and games provides children with the basic movement skills to begin a lifelong love of our sport and general physical activity.

For an hour a week over an eight-week period, our fully trained and vetted activators will deliver game-based activities that teach basic cricket skills including catching, throwing and hitting moving balls and social skills such as teamwork and communication. The activities will be held at our accredited cricket club, and we are delighted that they will be run by 3 of our fully qualified coaches.

All participants will receive an All Stars Cricket branded pack including a cricket bat, ball, shirt, cap, backpack and water bottle.
