Welcome to the Alton CC messageboard. We hope you enjoy using it and it proves a useful tool in the running of the club. Before you start posting please take a moment to read the guidlines below.

The forum is public for anyone to read but in order to post you will need to register with a valid email address. This is to make it easier for us to control and moderate the board. Your email address will be used for no other purpose.
Update We are now vetting new user registrations following a spate of spam and virus postings. Once you register you will have to wait for us to activate your account before you can post. It is a good idea to make sure we will be able to tell who you are from your profile if you don't want to get deleted. Sorry for the inconvenience but it takes a long time to delete all the rogue posts and users.
Update to update We are getting loads of spam users trying to join, so if you genuinely want to then drop me or H a line and we will approve your application, otherwise it will get deleted when we do a bulk purge.

While we would like this forum to be as open and uncensored as possible please be aware that it is public and that there is a large junior section to this club so please keep swearing, abuse etc... to a minimum. Also bear in mind that we are bound by UK libel laws so adjust your content accordingly. The board is on behalf of Alton CC, so the club charter and constitution are in force on this messageboard. Any inappropriate comments will be dealt with by the cricket club committee in a suitable manner. We will delete any posts that we feel unacceptable and persistent offenders can be banned from the forum.

Images can be posted to the forum but please keep them as small as possible to limit load time and avoid ruining the board formatting. Also bear in mind that some people get very annoyed by people linking to images on their sites.

Avatars are enabled. You can select from the gallery or upload your own. If you want to upload one it must be no bigger than 80x80 and 6KB and should be .gif, .jpg or .png. It doesn't allow linking to remote images.

Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.

Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance.
