New President & thanks

Alton Cricket Club are delighted to announce the Brian Gillingham has been voted in as the new club president.

Brian has played for Alton CC since he was a young boy, and has been familiar face around the club for around 30 years. He brings business acumen and a desire to make things happen to the club, which will include a Presidents game and a golf day. Keep your eyes peeled in the near future for information.

Brian replaces Paddy Heffernan, who has served the club with distinction in every role possible. High scoring batsman, first team captain, chairman and president are all on Paddy’s CV.

Alton CC would like to put on record their thanks for his hard work, particularly around the turn of the millennium during his stint as chairman, when Alton re-established themselves in the Southern Premier League.

Paddy’s move to the midlands has meant that his time at Jubilee has been limited in recent seasons, but all at Alton CC would like to thank him for his efforts and hope that we see him soon.
