Dinner Dance, Friday November 23rd 2018

We are pleased to announce that this year we will be having the dinner and dance at The Alton Maltings on Friday 23rd November 2018 starting at 7pm.

The food will be provided by Mr and Mrs Ball who provided the food at the last dinner and dance in 2016, and it was excellent. The cost of tickets will be £35 per person, which include the below 3 course menu, a welcome drink, table wine.


  • Smoked Haddock topped with Welsh Rarebit on a bed of Tomatoes in a Chive Dressing.
  • Filo Parcel stuffed with caramelised red onion and cheddar cheese on a tomato and basil sauce.
  • Game Terrine with toasted bruschetta and homemade chutney.


  • Chicken Breast wrapped in Bacon in a red wine, wild mushroom and shallot sauce.
  • Fillet of Beef Wellington served on a rich madeira sauce.
  • Salmon Fillet in a mushroom, prawn and lemon butter sauce.
  • Wild Mushroom Stroganoff with Basmati Rice (Veggie).


  • Chocolate Crunch on a Biscuit Base with Vanilla Ice Cream.
  • Sticky Toffee Pudding with Ice Cream.
  • Mango Mousse topped with Glazed Mango.

Alton tour of Norfolk

Alton Tour of North Norfolk is up an running and now two months away! This is the moment to book those odd days leave, pick up your phone and send me a message that you are IN so we can get on with planning to take Brewers brand of cricket to new frontiers!

Essential details are:-

  • Sunday 29th July – depart for Cromer. Transit is between 4 and 5 hours. Activity will be planned for Sunday evening when we have final numbers. Accommodation is in Cromer.
  • Monday 30th – Match against Aldborough CC, about 30 minutes drive from Cromer
  • Tuesday 31st – Our turn to be centre stage at Cromer Cricket week, playing their main square. Tour meal in Cromer in the evening, it’s all short distances that day.
  • Wednesday 1st August – Match against Bradfield CC. Idyllic setting for an end of tour game.

There will be hotel rooms on Wednesday night if wanted or people can get look to get back.


Whole tour, available all games, £200 per person includes 4 nights stay, breakfast, tour meal on Tuesday and all match fees.

Part tour, £70 per night b&b and game.

Christmas party!

The club is hold a Christmas social on the night of Friday 22nd December, the bar will be open from 5pm, music will be provided, all members and their families are welcome.

We would like everyone attending to bring a plate of food with them. If you are attending please either inform Tozzy, Richard or Graeme so we can organise a selection of food and not have 2000 sausage rolls!

Colts fundraising event

We are holding a colts fundraising event at Worldham Golf club (our new one day sponsors!). All parents /Carers are welcome and encouraged to attend, as are all adults.

There will be home cooked food, target golf and other games, raffle, DJ and fully stocked bar. What better way to have a fun at the start of the new season and help the club with some fundraising.

Alton CC had their annual dinner and dance on 6th September to celebrate a superbly successful season.

The event at the Alton Maltings Centre was enjoyed by those from across the club. The annual awards were handed out, with the winners listed below. Thanks to everyone for their hard work to make the evening a success, particularly Scott Myers, Leanne Drinkall and the staff at the Maltings.

Race night, 23rd May

We are holding our popular race night once again, on Friday 23rd May

This is a great opportunity to come and have some fun while enjoying our fantastic newly renovated bar and raising valuable funds for the club.

The race night will start once colts training has ended, allowing plenty of time for you to all enjoy the show!

There are 64 horses available to buy at £5 per horse and 10 races available to be sponsored – contact Julian Ballinger for details. Entry to the evening is free.

There are prizes for the winning owners on the night and special prize for the champion of champions. Of course, there is also the opportunity to place a small wager on the outcome of each race!
